Thank-you’s - Camp Week & Beyond

RAIS (Recording Arts Institute of Saskatoon) donates their time, space, and expertise every year to host our bands in their studio and record their original songs for us (which we upload later to Bandcamp!). This is a truly unique experience for our campers that offers a taste of the professional musician life!
The Broadway Theatre is a fellow non-profit, community-based organization that donates their space each year for our Camper Showcase, as well as occasional board/organizer meetings.
Our week-long camp is hosted by the wonderful Mayfair United Church, where we have rented space for the past few years now.
We rent instruments for camp from Canadian music store Long & McQuade, who provide us a great discount each year.
PAVED Arts, a local non-profit, artist-run centre & gallery, donated rental cameras for our volunteers to take pictures during camp week!
We received food donations for camp week from the Co-Op Food Store and The Griffin Takeaway; and from Darkside Donuts for our volunteer orientation.
For the month of July, Paradox Pizza donated a percentage of their sales for a GRS pizza special

camp - Special Guests:
Living Sky Limousine - Our lucky campers got the full rock star treatment - a limo ride with their band to the RAIS Recording Studio! Andrew Rolston from Living Sky Limousine generously chauffeured our campers (and all their musical gear) to and from the recording studio all day!
Bryn Despins - Bryn was our photographer for band photos on Friday! The memories captured in these band photos are sure to be treasured by our campers for years to come!
To get ready for Friday’s band photos, campers have the option to add a little extra glam if they want, thanks to our hair and makeup artists: Christian Leigh from Only Child Studio; Shayla Gregson from Studio 414; and MAC Cosmetics!
