The time has come to submit your applications to volunteer with us at Girls Rock Camp Saskatoon 2024! Our annual youth summer camp would not be possible without the hard work of all of our volunteers!

We have various volunteer roles available, for all genders, musical experience, and ages (15+).

Important dates at a glance:

  • May 24th - Submit your application by this date for guaranteed placement

  • July 7th - Volunteer Orientation at The Broadway Theatre

  • July 21st - Camp Set-up

  • July 22 -26 - Girls Rock Camp Saskatoon at Mayfair United Church

  • July 27 - Camper Showcase at The Broadway Theatre, followed by the volunteer wind-up

Family Dance Party!

Join us for one of our most popular events - a Family Dance Party!

When: Sunday, April 14th, 2024, from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Where: Amigos Cantina - 806 Dufferin Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0G9

What: DJ’s & dancing, karaoke, facepainting, and colouring!

Why: We want to hang out with our awesome GRS community in an environment that’s fun for the whole family!

Other: Entry is by donation - this is a volunteer-run comminity event put on by Girls Rock Saskatoon, with the help of our generous host Amigos who have donated their space to us for this event. Amigos’ full menu will be available for purchase all day and evening!

  • Zine Making - we want to celebrate our 10 year anniversary with a zine from past and future youth and volunteers with Girls Rock Saskatoon! We’ll have a table set up to make some zines together!

Visit us at the Broadway Street Fair as we partner with the Broadway Shoe Repair and Blundstone to bring you another Blundstone Boot Throw!

  • Find us outside the Broadway Shoe Repair on Saturday, September 9th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • Make a minimum donation of $3.00 to Girls Rock Saskatoon to participate, and get entered to win cool prizes by throwing a Blundstone boot!

Girls Rock Camp 2023 Showcase

Please join us for the 2023 Girls Rock Saskatoon Camper Showcase! The youth at our camp have worked hard all week to learn their instruments, write a song, design a logo, and professionally record, amongst all sorts of other fun! We are excited to introduce 6 brand new bands with original songs for your enjoyment!

Whether you know a camper or just want to experience the fun and inspiration that is "Girls Rock Camp", we would love for you to attend! Let's rock out together!

Girls Rock Saskatoon organizers and board members are once again participating in the 2023 Saskatoon Pride Parade! We are looking forward to celebrating Pride as a community, so we are inviting our GRS supporters (campers, their families, volunteers, general like-minded folk) to join us! 

  • Saturday, June 17th, 2023

  • Parade starts at 1:00pm sharp so plan to meet us by 12:30pm

  • We will anounce our float number on social media when we receive it, so stay tuned for our meetup location (downtown Saskatoon)

  • Wear your festive attire and/or GRS shirts (and dress for the weather!)

We’re hiring! We successfully got funding from the Canada Summer Jobs Program for our Camp Director role! We are very excited to extend this role past it’s usual 2 weeks into a 6 week position! Starting date is July 17th, approximately 30 hours a week, for $18 an hour. It's the Girls Rock Saskatoon annual Cover Night fundraiser!

Come out for great 90's hits from a wide variety of genres by great local musicians, and consider getting on stage yourself for karaoke between sets and after the show!

Feature Bands are:
Bicycle Daze covering Radiohead
The Sex Geckos covering a mix of 90's songs
The Department Heads covering The Presidents of the United States of America
Soda Powder covering a mix of 90's songs
Mowtown Philly Cheese Stanks covering Boyz II Men

Cover is $10 at the door, with proceeds going to our programming and keeping camp accessible!

Youth Camp Applications Accepted

Youth Camp Applications Accepted

Instead of a first come first serve registration approach, we have as many people as are interested apply for camp from February 24th - March 2nd. Then a selection committee looks them over and selects youth based on a variety of factors, such as: their eligibility (ex: age), level of interest, and whether they have applied in the past or not! Those who are not selected for camp this year will be given the option to be put on a wait list, should any of the accepted campers no longer be able to attend.
